Chamber to host Installation Dinner and Community Awards Gala on Jan. 29
The Ramona Chamber of Commerce will host an Installation Dinner and Community Awards Gala on Sunday, Jan. 29.
The dinner and awards event will be held at 5 p.m. at The Barn Restaurant, 344 Main St. The event will be held to install new Chamber of Commerce directors and issue community awards.
The Chamber will be introducing incoming board Directors Kyle Dodson of Ramona Metal Works and Kevin Justice of Re/Max Direct. Also being announced is incoming Executive Board Secretary Nancy Sapper of C2 Financial.
The Chamber will give awards to Nonprofit of the Year, Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Sheriff’s Deputy of the Year and Senior Volunteer Deputy of the Year, Firefighter of the Year, Ramona Unified School District Teacher of the Year, and Ramona Unified Classified Employee of the Year.
Nominees for the Nonprofit of the Year are: First Congregational Church of Ramona, TrueCare Ramona Health Center, and Ramona Food & Clothes Closet.
Business of the Year nominees are: Mamma Ramona’s Restaurant, Main Street Coffee and Ramona Home Journal.
Citizen of the Year nominees are: Tiffany Lynch, Susan White and Tracy Engel.
Tickets include a buffet-style dinner and dessert and cost $60 per person.
