Supervisors to discuss medical marijuana collectives at Wednesday’s meeting
The county Board of Supervisors will consider options regarding medical marijuana collectives when it meets Wednesday, March 16, in Room 310 at the San Diego County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego.
The board meeting will start at 9 a.m. The agenda item, “Options to amend county regulatory code and zoning ordinance and urgency ordinance enacting a moratorium related to medical marijuana collective facilities,” is the third item on the agenda.
Ramona Community Planning Group sent a letter to the board of supervisors, asking for a ban on medical marijuana collectives or zoning ordinance modifications as one collective recently opened in Ramona and three more are in the works. A group has also been eyeing a site for medical marijuana cultivation in Ramona.
Members of the public can address the board on an agenda item by submitting a “Request to Speak” form to the clerk of the board at least five minutes before the item is brought up for discussion. Speaker forms are not accepted once the item is called.
