Kudos to Cal Fire firefighters

Last Thursday I was coming home from work and I came upon a firefighter in the road with a sign to slow down. As I got around the corner there were several firefighters on the road as a small herd of horses that are kept across the street had gotten loose and the firefighters had managed to get some of them contained on the Cal Fire property. The other firefighters were trying to find out where the horses had gotten out of their pasture and fixing it so the couple of other horses still in their pasture didn’t get out.

Having owned horses for a very long time, I know how hard it is to get the loose ones in a safe place, but also making sure the ones left in the pasture didn’t get out.

These guys do such a wonderful job keeping us safe in times of fire, but for them to go above and beyond to help some loose horses is a wonderful thing.

Thanks, guys, for all you do!

Bravo to San Diego Police

Well, I attended a Trump rally. At first I felt threatened and afraid to go, all those news stories about the protestors, wow. But I garnered the courage when invited to attend with two young, strong, male cousins.

It was a successful gathering of thousands of supporters, a large contingency of our police force, and a small group of protestors with vulgar signs that had no effect on the people as they arrived and departed.

If I were a reporter at the rally, my headline would be completely different. Not “Protestors disrupt San Diego Rally.” No way, my headline would be “Small showing of protestors and large appearance of Trump supporters; police and security produce a very friendly and peaceful rally.”

What you read and see on news coverage is really a partnership between well-planned and timed protesting and the news media. The protestors wait until the mobs of supporters are at the rally and then after the bulk of them exit, they go into action, mostly against the police.

With the well-guarded San Diego rally due to our great police force, that confrontation was really minimal. One news report that was honest, somehow got public, admitted that there were only two dozen protestors left at the end. I have written this to be at least a small report of the truth.
