Wanted: Quilts for quilt show

Share

The Back Country Quilt Club is asking for quilts to display in the 17th annual quilt show for attendees to enjoy.

The quilt show will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21 and 22, at Mountain View Community Church.

All quilt styles and sizes are welcome to be entered in the quilt show.

Registration forms may be obtained from Candy Mittag by email at candymmjwc@cox.net or by calling her at 858-361-8905.

All registration forms are due back to Mittag by Wednesday, Sept. 14. No forms will be accepted after that date. Completed registration forms may be emailed to Mittag or copies may be brought to Ramona Senior Center, 434 Aqua Lane, Tuesday or Thursday mornings.

More than one entry may be submitted per person but only one full size or larger quilt will be accepted from each entrant. It is requested that the registration forms, when submitting more than one quilt, be marked in the order the quilter wants the quilts accepted for the show. More than one entry will be selected as the number of quilts entered are counted and if there is hanging space.

To enter a quilt, two hours must be volunteered in one of the areas listed on the registration form or a $10 fee is to be paid.

Quilts that are accepted for the show must be turned in between Sept. 25 and Oct. 3 at Ramona Senior Center. Those who cannot get to the senior center may contact Mittag to arrange for pickup of the quilt or quilts.

As in prior years, all net proceeds from the quilt show will be distributed to Ramona charities.
