Jewelry World celebrates opening of new location

Jewelry World and Loan celebrated the grand opening of its new location at 1668-F Main St. in Stonegate Plaza, also known as the Stater Bros. shopping center.

The Aug. 15 celebration included free prizes, giveaways, a four-piece jazz band, cake and pizza.

Deanne Willis, a cake-maker and Ramona resident, provided a sheet cake designed with Jewelry World’s vintage 1937 truck and adorned it with edible jewelry.

Jewelry World and Loan has been serving Ramona since 1985. The business specializes in new, vintage and custom jewelry and carries a full line of diamond wedding and engagement rings, colored gem stones and silver jewelry. Coins, collectibles, tools and electronics are also available.

All jewelry repair is done on the premises by Sandra Wheeler. Watch batteries are replaced “while you wait,” said staff.

Jewelry World and Loan owners and staff thank all who attended their grand opening in 100 degree weather.

They are planning for the Christmas season, and said they have begun layaways and special orders.
