Spike TV’s “Bar Rescue” show featured its makeover of a Ramona bar when it aired Sunday evening, Oct. 11, and is available for viewing on the network’s website.

“Bar Rescue” came to Ramona in April “to try and rescue struggling Irish bar, Molly Malone’s,” according to the show.

“When Jon Taffer gets there, he’ll have to break up the battling bartenders and show an idle owner the error of his ways, before the owner’s fiancée leaves him for good,” stated the show’s preview.

Taffer and his staff re-named the bar Way Point Saloon, drawing inspiration from gold rush days and decorating it in an Old West style. The bar, owned by Bob Isaacson, is at 1270 Main St.
