4-year-old bitten by rattlesnake

A 4-year-old Ramona boy was airlifted to Rady Children’s Hospital Thursday morning after he was bitten in the hand by a rattlesnake, officials reported.

The incident occurred around 11 a.m. in the Pamo Road area in the northeast portion of Ramona, said Cal Fire Capt. Bob Bowden with the Ramona Fire Department. Bowden said the boy had a reaction and was transported to the hospital with his mother by Mercy Air.
