Sheriff asks for graffiti reports

Share

Residents who see graffiti are asked to report it via email to the sheriff’s Ramona station through a cooperative program with community organizations.

“The goal of this program is to identify graffiti in the community, clean it up as soon as possible, and to document the graffiti and the cleanup costs so the responsible party may be held liable for their actions,” said Serve Ramona on a Facebook posting.

Serve Ramona is a local interfaith organization.

Graffiti can be reported by email to information.ramona@sdsheriff.org with the word “graffiti” in the subject line and the location of the graffiti in the message.

According to Serve Ramona, the sheriff’s department will document the graffiti and send a group of volunteers to paint over it with consent of the property owners if the property owners are unable to clean it.
