Take back our schools from the feds

Regarding J. Dyer’s excellent letter about federal meddling with education: When I was pursuing my doctorate at Arizona State, I had an excellent professor who had been a state legislator for a number of years. At our first meeting, he said, “Since education is mentioned nowhere in the U.S. Constitution, it is therefore the sole responsibility of the separate states.”

Folks, it is that simple. The history of federal meddling with our schools dates back to the Roosevelt administration, and the dingbat liberals have been screwing (my euphemism for a crude word) up education ever since.

It is high time for ALL California school districts to tell the feds to go to hell, and restore one of our more important rights.
