Start the day with a parade

Share

Independence Day in Ramona starts with a parade in San Diego Country Estates in the morning and ends with fireworks in town in the evening.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. at the Casey Tibbs Western Center at Pappas Road and Avenel Lane and continues along Pappas Road to Ramona Oaks Park. Parade line-up is at 9:30 a.m. at the western center.

The parade features entries from throughout Ramona and the region and is open to the public, but festivities in Ramona Oaks Park after the parade are open only to Estates residents and their guests.

Seasoned parade-goers arrive for prime seating in the shade along the parade route.

After the parade and when temperatures cool, Ramona Rotary Club will stage its 23rd annual July 4th Family Picnic & Fireworks on the fields behind Olive Peirce Middle School, 1521 Hanson Lane, from 5 to 9 p.m., when the fireworks will start.
