Montecito High’s construction class stays busy this summer

Share

Montecito High School’s advanced construction summer school class is working on several projects at Ramona schools.

This week they are finishing an addition to the weight room at Ramona High School, a project they started last Monday.

The addition measures 12 feet by 60 feet, and the students are working under the direction of their teacher, Nick Jordan. The six students working on the project did everything from the foundation and roof to the siding and trim work, said Montecito High School Principal Dave Lohman.

Their next project is gutting an old portable classroom at James Dukes Elementary School and retrofitting it for offices.
