Unnecessary distraction for the driving challenged
Finally someone replied to one of my letters. But alas, Ms. Preston, you must know what happens when you assume.
I have lived in the Estates since 1988. I clearly remember the Cedar fire and probably saw more of it than most since I chose not to evacuate.
What I did miss was the Jack-O-Lantern dog tree spectacle you described. If you happened to have snapped a photograph, that would be great. Please share with all.
You must not have read my letter closely as I never opined the jackass shaped tree should be removed. I merely stated it was an unnecessary distraction for the already driving challenged that travel the road.
While I appreciate your sentiment and all those who may share in it, I disagree the tree stump is anything but that. It’s just a uniquely shaped stump now used for various advertisements.
What you fail to recognize is the obvious hazard its existence creates, and promoting people to decorate the tree at least during the construction on the road is irresponsible. Access to the tree should be curtailed, until the road construction is completed. By the way, it’s Cook, not Cooke.
