Duck feeding, rain or shine

A rainy day doesn’t stop resident Patrick Mertens and his dog, Brandie, from their daily ritual of feeding the ducks at Elliott Pond on Ramona Street. “We come here no matter what,” he said. “This is one of the best things about Ramona.” Mertens feeds the ducks cracked corn and said they come right up to greet him while Brandie stands by patiently.
