The Bulldogs faced Mission Vista on Tuesday, Jan. 20, and won by 40 points, 69-29.

Friday had the team at Oceanside High School where the Bulldogs took down the Pirates, 50-38.

Mission Vista was able to keep the score close in the first period where only a difference of 4 points separated them from the Bulldogs. The second quarter was a different story, wherein the Bulldogs scored 27 and did not allow the Timberwolves a single point.

The Bulldogs were dialed in, even when shooting free throws. Chiara Mattern was a perfect 4-4 at the line. She had a great game in which she netted 22 total points on the night.

Other members of the 100 percent shooting club were Lauren Werhanowicz and Jordan Stites.

Hannah Farhat had a solid outing with zero turnovers in the game. She also contributed a rebound, a steal, a block and five assists.

Kylee Scheib (co-captain) also was in the entire 24 minutes. She had five defensive rebounds, five assists and four steals in the Bulldog victory.

Friday’s match up with the Oceanside Pirates was a close game. Neither team was up by more than a couple of baskets heading into the final period.
