Collision slows traffic on Highway 67
A two-vehicle collision that occurred around 3:30 p.m. Friday slowed traffic on state Route 67, just south of the Dye Road intersection and one driver was taken to the hospital.
According to California Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old driver from Poway traveling in a Ford Excursion with two siblings, was on Carol Lane preparing to make a left turn onto Route 67. Northbound traffic stopped to let her make the turn but when she did, she was struck on the right side by a southbound Dodge Charger.
The driver of the Charger, a Ramona woman in her mid-20s, was transported to Palomar Medical Center with a possible fracture to her right hand, said CHP Officer Jeff Christy.
