Feb. 17 game results: Ramona High School boys basketball takes down Fallbrook in a low-scoring game, 43-27.

Seniors on the Ramona High School boys basketball team were honored in the team’s final regular season home game on Feb. 13. The Bulldogs beat Valley Center 72-53.

Class of 2015 honorees were: Isaiah Spieker, Anthony Silvaggio, Wyatt Scott, Cameron Mitchell, Davis Windes and Tyler Vorce.

The basketball program hosted two Valley League rivals in the Dawg House last week and came away 1-1 for their efforts.

Oceanside brought a 3-3 record in league play to the Bulldog’s home court, and both teams treated the fans to a great ballgame. Marco Cobian was on fire with an 80 percent shooting percentage and scored 20 points for the Bulldogs.

Anthony Silvaggio scored 6, Blake Seits 6, Logan Knudsen 5, and Hunter Gurrola came out strong scoring 6 points, racking up two rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The game was tight the entire night but the Oceanside Pirates made their free throws when it counted and came away on top 51-49, handing the Bulldogs their fifth Valley League loss.

Valley Center, though higher in the standings, proved to be an easier opponent for the Bulldogs. Cobian once again led the team in scoring with 26 points on the night. Closely following was Seits who netted 23 points, shot 6 for 10 on 3- point shots, and had six defensive rebounds.

The team finishes its regular season schedule with two away games: Fallbrook and Orange Glen.

Seeding for postseason play will be on Feb. 21, and schedules will be released then. Follow @RamonaSentinel on Twitter for live prep scoring and coverage of Ramona High School athletics and activities.
