School trustees shift Aug. 20 meeting to middle school

Because renovation of the Ramona Unified School District Board Room is incomplete, trustees will hold their August meeting in the Charles R. Nunn Performing Arts Center at Olive Peirce Middle School, 1521 Hanson Lane.

The public meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20.

Trustees will hold the closed-to-the-public portion of their meeting at 6 p.m. in Room A-3 at the school. According to their agenda, they will discuss four items in closed session: personnel, negotiations with employee unions, litigation/potential litigation and student expulsion.

School district offices in the Wilson Administrative Center at 720 Ninth St., where trustees generally meet, were damaged during the July 19 rainstorm that dumped about 3 inches of rain in an hour. The storm, remnants of Hurricane Dolores, caused about $250,000 damage to the 1930s-era administration building.
