Ramona man pleads not guilty to sex offenses with a minor

A Ramona man pleaded not guilty to a number of charges involving sex offenses with a minor during his arraignment in El Cajon Superior Court Monday.

Thomas Alfredo Charbonneau, 50, remained in San Diego Central Jail on $600,000 bail Friday. His bail did not change during a bail review hearing in Superior Court in El Cajon on Aug. 7.

Charbonneau faces 25 charges. Of those are 22 counts of lewd acts with a minor, one count of unlawful intercourse with a minor, one count of attempted rape of an unconscious person, and one count of possession of harmful matter depicting minors undressed.

The case involves one victim and the reported incidents occurred over a period of time, said Lt. Jeff Duckworth with San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 17.
