School administrators to wait tables for scholarship fund

Share

Ramona Unified School District administrators invite the public to Boll Weevil Restaurant for what they promise will be a fun-filled event to support scholarships for Ramona students on Wednesday, April 29.

From every dollar spent, 20 percent will go toward scholarships for high school graduates from the Class of 2015 at Ramona High School, Montecito High and Mountain Valley Academy.

A unique feature of this event, staffed by the district’s administrative leadership team, is that dining guests may ask any principal, assistant principal, cabinet member or the superintendent to personally wait on their tables.

“But fear not,” said Superintendent Dr. Robert Graeff, Ed.D. “Every menu item will be prepared to perfection by the regular Boll Weevil cooking team. You can order the Steer Burger, Chicken in a Basket, Famous Lorraine Caesar Salad, or dozens of other scrumptious entries with all the famous Boll Weevil table fixin’s.”

Graeff hopes to include musical entertainment as part of the evening’s festivities. The scholarship benefit will begin at 5 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m. Boll Weevil restaurant is at 2548 Main St.

“Please come out to support our local students on April 29 at the Boll Weevil on Main Street,” said Graeff.
