Drivers can be high on more than marijuana

Share

I recently read the article on the front page of the Sentinel, “Medical pot shop ‘just doesn’t fit’ here.”

The only argument against having a medical “pot” shop was that outsiders would be driving on our “unsafe” roads and might possibly be “high on pot.” If that is the case, we better shut down all the wineries, breweries, and restaurants and bars that serve alcohol. These encourage people from outside Ramona to drive on our dangerous roads and may possibly be driving under the influence of alcohol.

As a matter of fact, we better shut down all of the pharmacies as well. We don’t want anyone driving our roads high on prescription drugs.

I have never smoked pot and have no desire to start now, but I do know there are medicinal benefits to smoking marijuana.

I am sure for those that this shop would benefit, they would rather not have to drive down the hill or all the way to El Cajon.

Face it, people, medicinal marijuana is here and helpful, and sooner rather than later recreational marijuana is going to be legal as well.
