School district seeks online feedback on calendar proposals for 2016-17

Ramona school district is in the early stages of developing its calendar for the 2016-17 school year and is asking the community to help choose between two proposals.

The district’s 2016-17 Instructional Calendar Survey is on the district’s website, www.ramonausd.net, under “District Headlines” on the left side.

The Calendar Committee survey will remain active on the district’s webpage until April 17.

Draft No. 1 calls for students to start the 2016-17 school year on Aug. 22. Draft No. 2 proposes starting the 2016-17 student school year on Aug. 17.

Both proposals call for the school year to end on June 8, 2017.

“On behalf of the committee, thanks in advance for taking the time to share with us your thoughts as we work toward developing an instructional calendar that meets the needs of our students and provides a framework for a reasonable work calendar for district employees,” the district said on its Facebook page.
