Planners recommend roads for county maintenance work

As requested by the county, the Ramona Community Planning Group has submitted a priority list of road maintenance projects.

The county provided a lengthy list of county-maintained roads in the community and indexed each by its condition. Transportation and Trails Subcommittee members Jim Cooper, Scotty Ensign and Dawn Perfect drove around the community to inspect roads on the list and presented their recommendations to the planning group. Safety and extent of deterioration were factors when considering the roads for the list, said Cooper.

Roads recommended for asphalt concrete overlay:

•Dos Picos Park Road from Mussey Grade Road to park entrance.

•Olive Street from Pine to 13th streets.

•Olive Street from 13th to Davis streets.

•Steffy Lane from Ashley to Keyes roads.

•Telford Lane from Ashley to Keyes roads.

•Sutherland Dam road from state Route 78 to end.

•H Street from Ramona to 10th streets.

•Ramona street from Montecito road to La Brea Street.

•Sixth Street from state Route 78 to A Street.

•Ashley Road from Eighth to Ninth streets.

Roads recommended for slurry seal:

•Ramona Street from H Street to Hanson Lane.

•Arena Drive from San Vicente Road to Arena Way.

•Arena Way from Arena Drive to Gunn Stage Road.

•Glen Ellen Way from Arena Drive to end.

•Spangler Peak Road from Arena Drive to Oakley Road.

•Bellemore Drive from Ramona Oaks Road to end.

•Avenel Lane from Ramona Oaks to Pappas roads.

•Pappas Road from Avenel Lane to Rio Verde Drive.

•Hanson Lane from Ashley to Keyes roads.
