Undefeated seventh-graders take league championship

Olive Peirce Middle School’s seventh-grade boys basketball team are the undefeated North County League champions with a 12-0 record.

The OPMS players beat teams from Valley Center, San Marcos, Mission Hill, Bonsall, and Fallbrook by an average of 30 points. The team is coached by Thomas Pacheco, Tyler Villa, and Tonee Leavitt. On Wednesday the OPMS team had one more game — a friendly scrimmage at Meadowbrook Middle School.

Playing on the undefeated OPMS boys seventh-grade basketball team are Cameron Necochea, Dawson SanFilippo, Jacob Jovien, Derek Newman, Sean McDonald, Jaedon Gotowala, Riley Colvin, Seth Conley, Hayden Keyser, Kyle Dodd, Mario Olea, Matthew McAllister, Joseph Castillo, Derek Diamond and Jack Clough. Coaching the team are Thomas Pacheco, back row, far left; Tonee Leavitt, back row, far right; and Tyler Villa, front row, far right.
