Coaches in the Valley League honored two Bulldog basketball players, senior Scott Stransky and sophomore Marco Cobian, by placing them on the 2014 All Valley League second team.

Coach David Reichner did not attend the meeting. The usual procedure for selection to an all Valley League team is for an athlete to be nominated by his coach. The coach then presents statistics and information to the other coaches in the league and the coaches vote on the team.

Since Reichner was not present at the meeting no Bulldog was nominated for the first team. When it came time to select the second team, the other coaches in the league stepped up and nominated Stransky and Cobian.

In the regular season Stransky led the team in scoring with 418 points, an average of 16.7 points per game. He also grabbed 117 rebounds and dished off a team-high 87 assists. On defense he had 39 steals and six blocked shots. He hit 50 shots from beyond the 3-point arc.

Cobian scored 336 points for an average of 13.4 per game. He had a team-high 143 rebounds and led the team with 41 steals, and he had eight blocked shots.

Since Reichner was not present, no Bulldogs received All Valley League honorable mention. The usual procedure for receiving honorable mention is the coach gets to place players on the team that were nominated for all league but did not get selected.

The All CIF teams will be named after the basketball playoffs.
