Coach David Reichner’s Bulldogs lost to Foothills Christian High School 85-64 in the first round of the Division III CIF playoffs.

The Dawgs finished the season 13-13 and were 5-5 in league action.

Ramona got off to a good start and led 4-0, but the Knights came back with a 24-8 run and led 24-12 going into the second quarter. Ramona mounted several comeback attempts and got within 9 points twice in the second half but whenever the game got close, the Knights went to their 6’9” sophomore forward T.J. Leaf as he was impossible to stop. Leaf finished the night with 35 points and 17 rebounds. His 11 defensive rebounds kept Ramona from getting many second attempts on offense.

Bulldogs Scott Stransky, Marco Cobian and Blake Seits scored 14 points apiece. Stransky finished his Bulldog career with four assists, a steal and three blocked shots. Cobian had seven boards, three assists and a steal. Seits lit up the nets by hitting a game-high four 3-point goals.

Colton Harris made his presence felt in the paint. He grabbed 12 rebounds, blocked four shots and scored 9 points. Christian Dominguez hit a pair of threes for 6 points. Riley Hubbard played tenacious defense and scored 2 points to go with three rebounds and a steal. Tanner “T-Bone” Williams grabbed four boards, scored 4 points, and had a steal and an assist. Anthony Silvaggio also scored in the game.

Reichner had four freshman on the court at times but he called time-out and put his four healthy seniors in the game for the final minute.

“Congratulations to every member of the varsity team for accomplishing what many thought would have been impossible,” Reichner stated after the game. “Huge thanks go out to all those who did so much for our entire program: our great coaching staff — JJ Wolf, Mark Toscano, Adam Stransky; our crew — Mike Durham, Jeff Flecker, Chuck and Mary Shoepp, Rob White, (the) Cobians, (and) Paul Hubbard; our water angels; Steve Pettis; all our great parents who came to every game; and our sponsors who have donated to our program.”
