NATIONAL DAY OF THE COWBOY, noon to 5 p.m., Mountain Valley Ranch, 842 Highway 78 near Magnolia Avenue. Free event to feature live cowboy music, re-enactments by the Old West Mounted Lawman’s Association, cowboy poetry, leatherwork and art displays, custom western shirts and cowboy hats, vendors, opportunity drawings and food for purchase.
