Students learn about drones and principles of flight from the pros
Harvey presented his PowerPoint in a humorous and age appropriate way, said science teacher Frank Lucio, beginning with the basic principles of flight and ending
Willat continued by demonstrating the principles of flight with his quadrocopter, a mini remote helicopter with four propellers. Attached to the quadrocopter was a video camera that recorded the students and the school surroundings in real time from several hundred feet above their heads.
“The students from kindergarten to sixth grade were treated to a fantastic experience in a most age appropriate way,” said Lucio. “These presenters were very patient, answered a lot of questions, and were very informative and entertaining.”
