Sheriff's Ramona deputies found narcotics and about 300 firearms at a residence in the 300 block of Amigos Road Thursday evening, Aug. 7, and arrested a 20-year-old man, reported Lt. Hank Turner of the sheriff's Ramona station.
The deputies were helping California Highway Patrol follow up on a hit and run suspect when they noticed some of the narcotics and firearms, said Turner.
Anthony Gordon was arrested around 5:30 p.m. on suspicion of charges that included felon possessing firearms, possession of narcotic controlled substance, under the influence of controlled substance while possessing firearm, and possessing switchblade knife, according to the sheriff's department website. He was booked into San Diego Central Jail.
In addition to the firearms, a grenade was found and the sheriff's bomb arson unit was called, but the grenade was inert, Turner said.
Among the controlled substances that deputies found were heroin, LSD, concentrated cannabis and ecstasy, said the lieutenant.
Bail has been set at $50,000 for Gordon, and arraignment was scheduled for Aug. 12, according to the sheriff's website.
