Thursday, Aug. 7—

Ten people are vying for seven seats on the Ramona Community Planning Group, and five are seeking three slots on the Ramona Unified School Board, according to the San Diego County Registrar of Voters website this afternoon. All are four-year terms.

Election 2014.FEATUREUnless other candidates enter the race for two water district divisions, there will be no need for an election and the two men who have filed as candidates will be seated.

Joining school board incumbents Rodger Dohm, Kim Lasley and Bob Stoody on the Nov. 4 ballot are retired teacher Joyce Daubert and educator/farmer Dick Lemire.

Planning group incumbents Scotty Ensign, Kristi Mansolf, Dennis Sprong and Kevin F.J. Wallace are seeking re-election and are joining candidates Frank D. Lucio, Robin Joy Maxson, Elio Noyas, David Ross, David E. Stone and Rick Terrazas on the ballot.

In Ramona Municipal Water District’s Division 2, former water board director George L. Boggs is the lone candidate so far, and incumbent Joseph Zenovic is the only candidate for Division 4 listed on the registrar’s website.

The deadline to file as a candidate in the November election is tomorrow, Aug. 8, at 5 p.m. The exception is if an incumbent has not filed by Aug. 8. In that case, the candidate filing deadline will be extended until Aug. 13. The extension rule does not apply to community planning areas, according to the Candidate Filing Guide.
