Ramona students place wreath at Tomb of Unknown Soldiers in Arlington National Cemetery
Ramona eighth-graders placed a wreath at the Tomb of Unknown Soldiers of the Civil War on Monday, before leaving for the airport and their flight home. Their plane is due to arrive in San Diego at 10:48 tonight.
Among other sites the 63 Olive Peirce Middle School students visited at Arlington National Cemetery was President John F. Kennedy’s gravesite and the eternal flame at the burial site.
Accompanying the students are 12 adults. Among the adults is Ramona trustee Kim Lasley, who has sent photos daily to update the community about the Washington, D.C., trip, which Ramona eighth-graders take each spring.
