Softball team wins two games, loses one in Falcon Fiesta

The Bulldog softball team won two games and lost one in the Falcon Fiesta. They will enter Valley League play with a 7-7 record

Hanah Bowen had her most impressive outing of the year as the freshman pitcher went seven innings and limited Escondido to one run on only one hit as she struck out nine Cougars the 6-1 victory.

Kailey Hill paced the offense with a 2-for-4 effort with a home run, a double and two RBIs Jordyn Fick went 1-for2 with an RBI and scored a run. Bre Hirsh contributed a double to the offense. Christina Barrameda, Amber Davis and Heather Celaya also contributed hits in the win.

Ramona continued to sizzle against Otay Ranch as the girls picked up a 5-1 win on the road. Amber Davis singled and stroked a triple. Hill and Bowen each had two hits and an RBI. Barrameda, Celaya and Fick stroked doubles with Fick’s driving in a run. Hayley Brinker also contributed a hit to the offense.

Bowen turned in another strong performance in the circle as she pitched five innings and gave up three hits as she fanned three. Hill got the start and went two innings and gave up one hit and fanned one.

Ramona lost to Westview High School 8-7. Stats were not available at press time.
