Crews extinguish San Pasqual brush fire

Friday, Sept. 13—Crews are extinguishing a brush fire that has blackened about one-eighth of an acre in an open area off Cloverdale Road and State Route 78 in the San Pasqual area, near Escondido, a dispatcher says.

There are no reports of structural threats, and officials report that they have halted the spread of the flames.
