Smoke from Miramar training may be visible on Saturday

Fires will be set on the airfield at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar tomorrow as part of a training exercise, officials announced today.
The training is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon Saturday and is part of the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Unit’s routine training regimen, according to MCAS Miramar’s public affairs office.
Flames and smoke may be visible from nearby roadways.
