Dancing, contests, refreshments and prizes are on tap for Coldwell Banker Country Realty’s 10th Annual Client and Community Appreciation Dance Party from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11.

The party, themed “Dancing through the Decades,” will be held in the parking lot in front of Coldwell’s office at 2130 Main St. and will feature music from the 1940s through the ‘80s.

“Dig out your dancing shoes and come ready to have fun, said Katie McNorton, broker of the real estate office.

Katie and Fred McNorton are getting ready for their upcoming event, as evidenced by the photo accompanying this article.

“This year we are hoping to help raise funds for the Hearts and Hands Animal Rescue located here in Ramona,” said McNorton. “Hearts and Hands is an amazing rescue effort on the part of Nancy Nunke, who personally houses and feeds over 100 animals at her property on Old Julian Highway. She has zebras, horses, donkeys, zorses and several other rescue animals, which takes thousands of dollars each month to feed.”

McNorton visited Nunke’s ranch and said she was amazed at what Nunke does for the animals.

“I just hope we are able to help in some small way,” said McNorton. “Come by on Oct. 11 and see Mattie, the miniature donkey, and one of her friends while you enjoy the music through the decades.”
