Ramona Quadruple Crown Series starts Oct. 9

Share

The Ramona Quadruple Crown Series for elementary school children returns this school year with the first race kicking off Wednesday, Oct. 9, at James Dukes Elementary School.

This is a collaborative effort and all elementary school children in Ramona and Julian are encouraged to participate. Students do not need to be a member of any running club or team. The events are free but donations are accepted to help cover costs.

This year, Julian Elementary is joining Ramona in hosting a race.

To earn a Quad Crown t-shirt, children must run at least four of the five races. All races are a mile and there is no cost to enter.

Runners can register online at quadcrown2014.eventbrite.com. Parents are encouraged to register their child for all events at one time if their child plans to run the series.

Following is the schedule and corresponding contact. Runners should arrive at least half an hour before their event. There are five races at each event, starting with the sixth grade race. Each consecutive race follows every 15 minutes.
