A pickup truck with a camper that was pulling a horse trailer was t-boned on State Route 67 Wednesday evening when its driver attempted to turn off Wynola Street onto State Route 67, reported California Highway Patrol.

The driver, a 53-year-old woman from San Diego, had just picked up the horse trailer from Southwest Sales at that corner and thought it was clear to turn left onto SR-67 but was hit by a pickup truck heading into town, said CHP Officer Joe Nielsen. The woman had facial cuts and head trauma and was transported to Pomerado Hospital, he said.

The two Ramona men in the other truck were uninjured, according to emergency responders. All drivers were wearing seatbelts, no DUI was involved, and no horses were in the trailer, said Nielsen. Southbound traffic was diverted around the accident scene.
