Seniors Empowering Seniors, a new feature at Ramona Senior Activity Center, is offered Fridays at 1 p.m. All are welcome.

Morning exercise classes will not be held Friday, May 3 and next week. Classes will resume on Monday, May 13.

The center at 434 Aqua Lane is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., except for legal holidays. Dinner-style meals are served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meals also are delivered to the homebound.

Menu for the Week

Thursday, May 2:

Chicken codon bleu, rice, Malibu vegetables, strawberry/blueberry crisp.

Friday, May 3:

Cinco de Mayo enchiladas, Mexican rice, refried beans/kiwi, tapioca pudding.

Monday, May 6:

Meatloaf, baked potato, Malibu vegetables, fresh grapes.

Tuesday, May 7:

Beef stroganoff, noodles, brussels sprouts, pineapple.

Wednesday, May 8:

Hawaiian chicken, rice, stir fry vegetables, ice cream.

Thursday, May 9:

Boneless chicken breast, mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans and banana.

Friday, May 10:

Mother’s Day luau with pork roast, vegetable spring rolls, baked sweet potato, pineapple crisp cake.

Suggested lunch donation for seniors age 60 and older and for the homebound is $4. Transportation is $1. Lunch for a non-senior guest of a senior is $6. For reservations and more information, call 760-789-0440.
