Easter 2019: 26 egg hunts to do all around San Diego County

This weekend, hundreds of children will scramble for goodie-filled eggs at community events across the county.

CENTRAL

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny: 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. breakfast Saturday, April 20. Coronado Community Center, 1845 Strand Way, Coronado. $10-$12 (advance purchase only) includes holiday crafts and a special Easter egg hunt just for breakfast attendees. Call (619) 522-7342.

Spring Egg Hunt: April 20. Egg hunts begin at 10 a.m. for the 2 years and younger set, and at 30-minute intervals for 3-4 years, 5-6 years, 7-9 years, and ending at noon with the 10-12 year olds. $10 per child includes the egg hunt, arts and crafts and a goody bag. Pancake Breakfast & Egg Hunt: 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. April 20. Vista Optimist Club, 600 Optimist Way, Vista. Spring Party with Bunny: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 20. San Diego Botanic Garden, 230 Quail Gardens Drive, Encinitas. Children ages 2-6 can meet a big, gentle bunny, and see real bunnies and other small animals; make spring crafts, join a parade and participate in a stuffed bunny hunt, with each child receiving one to take home. Enjoy a variety of free children’s activities, including a hunt for 20,000 filled eggs, plus two performances by family favorite, Hullabaloo. Eggstravaganza is hosted by Kroc Center Ministries and is open to all with an array of activities for infants and children up to 11 years, including egg hunts, games and more. Celebrate with a 45-minute vintage train ride through the mountains of east San Diego County, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and an Easter egg hunt.
