A Ramona man has pleaded guilty to grand theft and theft from an elder dependent adult, with sentencing set for March 20.
The case against Gerald Timothy Lowe, 40, was transferred to Vista Superior Court from El Cajon Superior Court. Lowe will be sentenced by Judge David Berry, who took his guilty pleas.
Deputy District Attorney Anne Marie Spitzberg said Lowe faces a maximum sentence of four years and four months in state prison. The plea was taken Feb. 21 without Lowe having a preliminary hearing.
Spitzberg said she could not discuss the victim or the facts in the case until after sentencing, so little is publicly known about the case.
Lowe was arrested Feb. 6 by sheriff’s deputies and he remains in the Vista Detention Facility on $120,000 bail.
