Pine Valley riders invite equestrians to Poker & Obstacle Ride

Pine Valley Mountain Riders invite equestrians to their first Poker & Obstacle Ride on Saturday, June 15.

The two-hour trail ride include obstacles as well as the opportunity to win a poker hand. Cash prizes will be given: First Place $150, Second Place $100, and Third Place $50. There will also be an opportunity drawing for a $75 feed store gift certificate for the horse that completes the five obstacles correctly. The five tickets from each horse that completes all five obstacles will be thrown in a bucket for a drawing for the winner.

The Poker Ride Includes: One poker hand, each correct obstacle wins one ticket, and lunch. Water for horses will be provided at staging area. Participants are to bring their own bucket. Cost is $10 for lunch only.

T-shirts will be available at the event. Extra poker hands are $5 each. Check-in will be at 8:30 a.m. and the first riders will go out at 9 a.m. and the last rider will be out at 10 a.m.

The event will be at Tumbleweed Arena at 13315 Willow Road in Lakeside. All riders under age 18 must wear helmets (not provided).
