The county medical examiner has identified the 22-year-old Ramonan who died in an accident on State Route 78 around noon Thursday, July 25, as Sean Kelly Cullen

Cullen was the sole occupant of a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650 motorcycle traveling eastbound on SR-78, about .3 miles east of Magnolia Avenue when he entered a right-hand corner at a high rate of speed and went down onto the highway, sliding into the westbound lane and colliding with an SUV, according to authorities.

Despite resuscitative efforts by fire personnel, Cullen was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:37 p.m., reported the medical examiner’s office, which said an examination had yet to be performed as of Friday morning.

The driver of the 2005 BMW X5 that was involved in the collision, Kimny Heang, 59, was transported to Pomerado Hospital after complaining of pain to the left side of her head, according to California Highway Patrol.

A resident living near the accident scene said she heard the collision. The resident said her sister, a registered nurse who was visiting, tried to help before paramedics arrived, as did others at the scene.

Cullen resided in an apartment with a roommate in Ramona, according to the medical examiner.
