Police report fatality on SR-78 near Safari Park

Friday, July 19—One person died this afternoon in a traffic accident on State Route 78 in the San Pasqual area.

The collision just west of San Diego Zoo Safari Park occurred about 4 p.m., according to police. The victim, whose name was not immediately available, died at the scene.

The accident forced a full closure of the roadway in the area, San Diego Police Ddepartment Officer David Stafford said.
