Soccer team visits Sony headquarters for annual cup

Share

Sony hosted Ramona Soccer League’s U13 Boys Intra team for its annual Sony Cup on Thursday, July 11.

The U13 team visited Sony’s U.S. headquarters in Rancho Bernardo and watched the top two Sony employee soccer teams play their final playoff match on the roof of one of the company buildings. The indoor-style game was an intense match that was eventually won by the blue team, which featured U13 boys’ Coach Isaac Garcia, reported the league.

The U13 boys were scheduled to play the championship Sony team, but the game was rained out. The Ramona team was treated to lunch and a tour of the five-year-old Sony facilities, which feature a gym, basketball court, indoor soccer field, volleyball, themed break rooms, cafeteria and more.

The tour ended with gifts of Sony notebooks and bags for each player and the donation of a new Sony laptop to the team. The laptop will be raffled to raise funds for the Boys U13 team. Go to RamonaSoccer.com for more information.
