Share

Are you prepared if a major fire sweeps through the area?

That’s the question representatives from various organizations will discuss at the Wildfire Preparedness Community Meeting in San Diego Country Estates from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16.

The meeting, hosted by Ramona West End Fire Council and the Country Estates Community Relations Department, will be in the San Vicente Room of San Vicente Resort and Golf Club, 24157 San Vicente Road. The meeting is open to the public.

The event is an opportunity for area residents to meet, hear and question emergency first responders in an effort to help the community better prepare itself for emergency wildfire response. It also is an opportunity to learn what information resources are available with the most accurate information to help the public make informed decisions.

Participants will include:

•Ramona Sheriff’s Substation, Lt. James Bovet

•CalFire, Battalion Chief Randy Scales

•Ramona Municipal Water District, Fire Marshal/Battalion Chief Saul Villagomez

•Ramona District Chief, Battalion Chief Burke Kremensky
