Senior Activity Center

Blood pressure screenings will be provided at Ramona Senior Center from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 7. There is no charge, and all ages are welcome.

The center is at 434 Aqua Lane and is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., except for legal holidays. Dinner-style meals are served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meals also are delivered to the homebound.

Menu for the Week

Thursday, Jan. 31: Parmesan chicken, noodles, California vegetables, fruited Jello.

Friday, Feb. 1: Beef tostadas (with lettuce, cheese and salsa), refried beans, Mexican rice, fresh kiwi.

Monday, Feb. 4: Chicken cordon bleu, brown rice, Malibu vegetables, strawberry/blueberry crisp.

Tuesday, Feb. 5: Beef stroganoff, noodles, brussels sprouts, pineapple, salad.

Wednesday, Feb. 6: Hawaiian chicken, rice, stir fry vegetables, cookies.

Thursday, Feb. 7: Boneless chicken breast with mushroom gravy, au gratin potatoes, California vegetables, pears.

Friday, Feb. 8: Stuffed bell peppers, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, tropical fruit.

Suggested lunch donation for seniors age 60 and older and for the homebound is $4. Transportation is $1. Lunch for a non-senior guest of a senior is $6. For reservations and more information, call 760-789-0440.

Thursday, Feb. 7: Bargain Corner from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Blood Pressure Screenings from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Bingo at 1 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 8: Bargain Corner from 8 a.m. to noon, Exercise at 9 a.m., Pinochle at 9 a.m., Pokeno at 1 p.m.

The pool table may be used any time except during Bargain Corner, and a Wii game is available.
