Monday quake felt in Ramona

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 rocked the deserts of East County at 10:33 a.m. Monday.

The epicenter was 9 miles north of Borrego Springs, near the Riverside County line and about 18 miles south of La Quinta.

Sheriff’s dispatchers confirmed that there were no damage reports. The quake was felt as far away as Ramona by some people, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
