Vehicle hits tree on SR-78 east of Ramona

State Route 78 reopened at 11:05, reports Ramona resident Mitchell Edwards.

CHP estimates the roadway will be open in about 10 minutes.

A Ramona Fire Department ambulance

transported the people who were in the vehicle from the scene, reports Ramona resident Beth Edwards from the accident scene.

Emergency crews have responded to a single-vehicle traffic collision in the 24200 block of state Route 78 east

An unknown number of people are inside the vehicle, which struck a tree, and the roadway is blocked, reports CHP.

According to CHP, a witness reported seeing the vehicle weaving before the collision, which was reported at 10:09 a.m.
