Ramona Sheriff’s Substation has created a new and hopefully more convenient method for citizens to provide information about criminal activity in our community.
It takes the cooperative effort of citizens and law enforcement to reduce crime and keep Ramona safe. In the “old days,” people with information about suspected criminal activities (drugs and drug sales, thefts, etc.) would pick up the phone and dial. Now you can quickly send an e-mail to: Ramonainfo@sdsheriff.org.
The Sheriff’s Department values the information provided by citizens — one small piece of information can provide the key to solving major crimes. Something that a person thinks is “not very important” may be just what the detectives need to solve a case and assist a crime victim.
All information received will be reviewed by a detective and acted upon in a timely manner. The reporting party can remain anonymous.
“We’re asking the public to share information about suspected or known criminal activity — drug use/sales, burglaries, thefts, and other crimes”, said Sheriff’s Sgt. B. Hout.
Citizens can truly be an asset in their community by being alert and reporting crimes in several ways. Non-emergency crimes can be reported to 760-789-1200 to have a deputy respond. There are some crime reports that can be completed via the Internet at www.sdsheriff.net.
Ramonainfo@sdsheriff.org is an opportunity for citizens to make a difference by sharing information about criminal activity in the community.
