Hikers rescued over the weekend from Cedar Creek and Three Sisters Falls

Firefighting personnel treat a

rescued hiker brought in by San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s Copter 10 Saturday afternoon near Ramona Fire Department/Cal Fire’s Station 81 in San Diego Country Estates. According to reports, a call came in around 1 p.m. of one hiker suffering from heat-related injuries on the Cedar Creek Falls trail. That hiker was was transported by ground ambulance to Pomerado Hospital, said Battalion Chief Saul Villagomez. Two other calls came in shortly after and three hikers were rescued from Three Sisters Falls trail by Copter 10. They were also experiencing heat-related symptoms but declined transportation to the hospital, said Station 81.
