Teens compete in Reebok CrossFit Games

Nine Ramona teens who train at CrossFit Brand X participated in the international CrossFit Kids Varsity Gauntlet at the 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.

Alec Adkins, 14, Matt Damm, 13, Danny Diaz, 18, Samantha Goldstein, 13, Jack Marks, 15, Duncan Martin, 15, Sophia Mittman, 13, Daisy Vazquez, 12, and Grady Vazquez, 15, competed in the invitational exhibition, which attracted 62 teen athletes from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. The athletes earned an invitation on the basis of their performances in CrossFit Kids Gauntlet events.

Of special note, Mittman, one of the youngest competitors in the junior varsity division, made it to the podium with a third-place finish, and Grady Vazquez, the youngest male in the varsity division, hit a personal best 255-pound clean. Emma Sedach, 12, also earned an invitation but was unable to make the trip to Carson.
